A well equipped home-from-home in a very good location, so convenient for the coast, countryside and the cities of Toulon and Marseilles. Not forgetting flowers, pictures, books, comfortable sitting room and peaceful location. Many thanks. Dave and Dee Baker (les Lauriers 21 February to 4 April 2009)

Provencal Paradise
Imagine a holiday with friends and family where
everyone can enjoy their independence and also have fun spending time
together:
Set in the Provencal countryside of vineyards and pine
forests, with easy access to sea and mountains, lies La Daby - the French home
of an English family. Four architect designed houses and a cabanon are set
apart from each other on five acres of terraced land, covered with thyme,
rosemary and olive trees. Each house is independent with its own fully equipped
kitchen and bathroom. Each has a shady terrace for sitting or dining. They can
be rented individually or together. The central swimming pool, with ping-pong
table alongside and an olive tree for shade provides a central area for
sunbathing and relaxing.

A crossing of lay-lines by the Cabanon is reputed to encourage sweet
dreams. One lay-line then goes up into the nearby mountains and passes
through the major pilgrimage destination of the Grotto of St Mary
Magdalene, which a makes delightful and impressive excursion.

The small market town of le Beausset and the
sea are only 1 and 6 miles away respectively. Numerous attractions include an
adjacent tennis court, golf at the fabulous www.fregate.dolce.com, Aqualand, OK Corral,
riding in the mountains, scuba diving in the sea, and the magic of Arles,
Nimes, Avignon and Aix en Provence (with its wonderful festival) not far
away.
Regional specialities including delicious Bandol wine, an amazing
array of cheese, local fish, and seasonal fruit and vegetables straight from
the producer. Feast on local seabass, ripe apricots and white peaches, or later
in the year enjoy Muscat grapes, green figs and wild boar ham.

A
crossing of lay-lines by the Cabanon - one of which joins with the pilgrimage
site of St Baume - provides a peaceful atmosphere, and appears to encourage
people to have sweet dreams!
